The five Activities provided in the European ITS Platform + will support and outcomes to the European ITS Platform in order to strengthen and complete the current EIP as the unique cooperation platform for the interoperable deployment of ITS for roads and interconnections with complementary transport modes. These Activities are both administrative and technical. The administrative part of the activities is represented by Activity 1 – EIP+ Management. The objective of this part is to organize, manage and promote the project, trough different tools.
The other activities are essentially technical. Their aim is to:
- Have a continuous monitoring and collection of feedback on the application of the Deployment Guidelines (DGs) in the context of national implementations within the Corridor projects and consolidated reporting of the results, lessons learned and best practices concerning the DGs requirements at a European scale.
- Set up and run a Helpdesk as an operational instrument for help and guidance for the DGs users, becoming a strong link between the road operators and the EIP+.
- Reach a pan-European harmonization of interoperable and scalable deployment to foster the effective uptake and (future) operational use of results.
- Evaluate the impacts of implementation on the Corridor deployments projects (including a definition of key performance indicators, methods and procedures to be used, in co-operation with relevant implementation projects).
